BP Batam ensures that services for users of the Batam Center International Ferry Port will continue to run normally as usual, Friday (2/8/2024).
Through the Director of the Port Business Entity (BUP), Dendi Gustinandar, BP Batam guarantees that the transition of port management from PT Synergy Tharada to PT Metro Nusantara Bahari will not disrupt the activities of potential passengers.
“BP Batam is committed to maintaining the smooth operation of the port. We have also coordinated with related parties to anticipate things that are not desirable,” said Dendi when reviewing the readiness of the port early this morning.
Dendi appealed to the people of Batam not to worry about the growing issues related to the transfer of Batam Center International Ferry Port operator.
Not without reason, continued Dendi, the main focus of BP Batam in this transition period is to maintain the quality of service to remain optimal.
Thus, the situation and conditions of the port remain conducive in the midst of the transition of port operators.
“We have checked all port facilities and infrastructure that are state assets. This can be immediately utilized and optimized by the new manager so that services remain optimal,” added Dendi.
It will also continue to communicate with the new operator, PT Metro Nusantara Bahari, to monitor the condition of the port after the transition.
“Please support all parties so that this process continues to run optimally. The goal is none other than the progress of the Batam Center Ferry Port which is one of the entrances for international tourists,” he concluded.
Similarly, the Barelang Police Chief, Kombes Pol Heribertus Ompusunggu also asked all parties to jointly maintain a conducive situation after the transfer of Batam Center International Ferry Port management operators.
“This transition should not disrupt the activities of prospective passengers. All parties must strive to keep the situation conducive so that the quality of service is not disrupted,” he said while checking the Port’s facilities and infrastructure.
