BP Batam together with Air Batam Hilir will soon carry out pipe interconnection work in the RW 01 area of Sengkuang Village, Batu Ampar.
This effort is a close solution to overcome the disruption of water supply in the area, especially residents in RT 01, RT 02, RT 03 and RT 05.
This was emphasized by Member/Deputy for General Services, Ariastuty Sirait, during a gathering with affected residents at Fasum RT 02/RW 01, Sengkuang, Friday (12/12) night.
“BU SPAM together with ABH will make pipe interconnections to connect the main network to the residents’ home networks, and given the current weather it can take 1 to 2 weeks of work,” she said.

“The team has analyzed, from the high-pressure network, a 140-meter network will be connected and connected to residents’ homes,” he said.
Next, BP Batam will also revitalize the pipeline network and add a pipeline with a capacity of 100 liters per second and a booster which is planned to be completed and operated in June next year, so that it can meet the needs of clean water in Tanjung Sengkuang and Batu Merah villages.
“BP Batam has prepared short, medium and long term solutions for each stress area,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Chairman of RW 01, Abdul Aziz welcomed the solution given to overcome the disruption of clean water supply. He and the residents will support and oversee the course of the water distribution service improvement program, especially the interconnection installation in the near future in his area.
